Sound Re-Design - ESO: Elsweyr - Bethesda

I got to practice a lot of techniques with this sound design practice such as sidechain compression and delays, as well as volume automation and working with a lot of loud SFX in general. I also learned some better routing than what I've been doing from my mentor Ben! Spacial effects are hard to get right, but I think I'm getting better! My favorite sound from this redesign is the sound of the archer's arrow hitting the bow shaft as they reload.

Here is a clip that I redesigned to mainly practice some UI sounds! I also practiced paying a lot of attention to volume and volume automation. I think I'm getting better! I've been compressing a lot more, and I'm finding that I'm able to hear compression a lot better. So, next, I would like to study some compression techniques such as sidechaining! Also, I had a TON of fun voice acting and processing for the AI voice.

This is a clip from the Outer Worlds 2 trailer that I re-designed for practice! I used the hydraulics in my office chair, a can opener, and some other things for the gun charge up, and a variety of things such as a microwave, an oven, a wire music stand, and of course a kick drum for the gunshot itself. My favorite sound is actually the sound of the bullet casing (shell?) as it flies out of the rifle.

Here is another short clip that I redesigned for practice! I used pots, pans, kitchen knives, and a few other things to make these sword, armor, and stone sounds. I want to record some dialogue tracks for grunts and fighting sounds, but this is done for now! I think I'm getting better at panning and using reverb!
